ISFL LEAGUE RULES

[Mar 26, 2023]

Main Menu
All League play is transacted through the ISFL website (isfl.us). The ISFL Review front page includes links to the following tools for playing the game:

How to Play
Each week, you will complete an official ISFL Weekly Pick Sheet, which is available on the Main Menu of the ISFL Review front page. Select the winner of each game and assign confidence points aka "conpoints" to each without using the same number twice, based on the number of games played in a particular week.

For example, if 16 games are to be played, assign numbers 1 through 16, using a different number for each pick. (1,2,3,4, and so on to 16, without repeating any numbers). The points you enter for each should be based on the confidence of your pick, with #1 being your least confident pick and #16 being your most confident pick.

*Note—Game winners are determined by actual score; if an NFL game ends in a tie, all players receive half the points assigned.

Each week, according to a prepared schedule, each team owner is pitted against another. Schedule is posted on the Main Menu.

How to Win:
Players earn points for each correct game winner selected. If the team you picked wins, you receive the confidence points entered; if your team loses, you receive 0 points.

Weekly Winners
The player who accumulates the most conpoints in a game receives a "win" which is equal to 2 Win-points; in the event of a tie, each team will receive 1 Win-point.

Standings
Each week and at the end of the season, standings will be posted based on the total Win Points of each team. At the end of the season, if any teams are tied in this category, the leader is determined by the following tie-breakers (in this order):

Submitting Picks
Deadlines: Generally, picks for all regular season games are submitted as follows:

Thursday Games—Thursday game picks must be submitted individually by Thursday, 3:00 pm (PT). You will then submit your remaining picks as follows.

Saturday Games—If there is a Saturday game, all remaining picks are due by Friday, midnight.

Sunday Games—Otherwise, picks for all remaining picks are due by Saturday, midnight.

Note: These requirements are subject to NFL scheduling and the whim of Kommissioner Krusty. Official deadlines will be posted in the ISFL Review (isfl.us) each week.

Getting a Picksheet: To obtain a picksheet for the coming week, go to the Itchy & Scratchy League website "isfl.us", and go to the front page. Then click ""Picksheets" from the Main Menu. A list of available (activated) pick sheets (including ones for future weeks for entering picks in advance) will be displayed. Click the week you wish to complete (note, if the week you want is not activated, try refreshing your screen).

Completing a Pick Sheet:

Note: For your convenience and gaming pleasure, when all picks have been received, Krusty will post all picks in a link called "Weekly Picks" on the "Welcome" page (isfl.us). After picks have been posted, no picks or changes will be accepted.

Alternative Ways of Sending Picks: In an emergency, you may also send your picks via email to "krusty@isfl.us" or by phone to Krusty or another owner who can forward them to Krusty. Indicate your picks, conforming to the order listed on the pick sheet. Enter the abbreviated city name of the team you're choosing, followed by the con-points assigned (as shown below).

Forfeited Games
Forfeited Week: Any player who does not submit picks for the week will receive a loss and granted a score of 10 points less than the lowest score of that week.

Missed Early Games: If you do not get your picks in on time for early games (for example, Thursday games) you will automatically lose your top con-points.

Missed Sunday Games: If you submit the early game picks (Thursday), but fail to submit the remaining game picks, you will mercifully be granted a forfeit.

Pick Sheet Errors
Missing Team Picks & Numbers: If you omit a team pick or con-points the system will immediately return the picksheet with a request for the missing information. However, this system does not account for duplicate numbers. Therefore, in this event (or if picks are sent via email) the following apply:

Missing team picks: If a team selection is omitted on a pick sheet and the owner cannot be reached in time to correct it, his or her team will automatically be assigned the favorite for that pick. If there is no favorite they will be assigned the home team.

Duplicate/Missing Numbers: When submitting picks, if any owner uses the same confidence number more than once and we are unable to contact the owner for a correction, the first occurrence of the repeated number will remain official, while the second occurrence of the repeated number will be automatically replaced with the missing number.

For example, if you list number 7 twice and omit 13 on your picks, the first 7 will count as is and the second will be converted to the missing number 13. This may work to your advantage or detriment, so be careful.

Note: if there are too many missing or duplicated con points, the entry will be considered invalid if not corrected in time.

Playoffs
At the end of the season, play continues with the Playoffs. This competition is played in a different manner. Playoff rules will be posted near the end of the regular season.

Good luck!
